Trying out the new back massage chair and foot massager too.

After we told the boys that they were allowed to take their new Ninja slushy and Ninja air fryers with
them when they moved out, that prompted a project to draw out their 'Dream Houses'. This is Walter's.
What I love here is the pinball machines, the fact that the wife gets her own room (so she doesn't smell the farts)
and that his stuffies get their own room.

Henry's 'Dream House'. Yes, the whole thing is underground. And he has multiple power sources. And he
has a curling rink in the lowest level. And he has air tunnels, backup power generators, and a massive aquarium.
Yup, this one doesn't have a hope - he'll be an engineer.

The boys got Robux from Aunty Maria and Uncle John. They were STOKED!

Natalia birthday

I got Natalia cupcakes from Blooming Cupcakes in Okotoks, where Megan makes GORGEOUS floral
arrangements with cupcakes.

This is shortly after I got flashed by a grandma on the trail. Wild times!
Skiing at Pano

Natalia thought this was funny enroute to Pano that the sheep chose to cross at the sheep sign.

Playing their new Exploding Kittens board game.

Since Natalia had a headache, I took the boys for a zip around our area. This is going up the mini
gondola to the village from our Horsethief Lodge condo. For future reference, the parking here is
a MAJOR challenge and they're ~45 years old. Fine for ski in, ski out, but REALLY challenging for
packing gear in and out of them.

The boys loved checking out the icicles from the gondola though.

Henry thought the snowman was 'chonky' so they wanted a photo.

Often, the lower mountain can be shrouded in fog/cloud and the upper mountain is totally gorgeous.
This was one of those days and when Henry and I popped above the Champagne chair, it was stunning and
warmer too.

The Horsethief condos also get access to the Pano Springs resort, which has a big 'warm pool'
and a hot tub too. We didn't make our way up here, but it's a nice amenity for sure.
Making noise happen on NYE

Natalia got us all glasses and noise makers for the NYE party at Pano.

Walter struggles with cold hands, and so even in spite of having loaded his mitts with handwarmers
he struggles to stay warm. So, here, he's wearing my mitts to warm up.

The Sun Bowl is AWESOME and a great place for kids to hang out. The sliding surface here could be
charitably described as 'hard packed' to get here though. Once we got to the bowl it was lovely.

Henry thinks this sign in the outhouse at the Elkhorn Cabin is hilarious.

Plugging his face with cookie. Since I'm not a slavedriver (and I've learned better), I try to stop
more often for hot chocolate and whatever will make the ski day more fun.

Having hot chocolate at the Elkhorn cabin, a quaint little spot to have a raclette lunch.

Skiing in the Sun Bowl. Mom actually skied down a black diamond run, after the boys jumped into it.
Henry ringing the bell at the Summit hut
For future posterity, we liked Panorama for skiing and three days was about perfect for
exploring at the level our kids do at this age. In another year or so, Henry will be ready for
more of the Taynton Bowl, but full props to Henry for doing three runs from the Summit chair,
trying out the cat track, View from 1000 Peaks, and also Stumbock's too. A lot of the base property
is pretty dated, and parking is a major challenge too. But, we had super short line-ups, and really nice
weather. Maybe next time we'll get more fresh snow and it'll be softer to ski.
